Orcs are typically larger than humans, though they vary in build from lithe and agile, to brawny and hulkish. Some have large tusks that extend from their lower jaw, while others are more subtle, though still always protruding past the lips. They have slightly pointed ears, which are significantly shorter than elven ears, and their skin tones come in ranges of ruddy red, green, and blue.
Orc history is difficult to pin down in exact figures, as much of it remains unwritten. What is known is that Orcs were long ago Humans enslaved by the Deinarch Kingdom, a brutal society of Omnimal Dinosaurs, and forced to serve them or die as fodder in their bloody gladiatorial arenas. Orc legends tell that their deity, an Avatar of a Font of Blood, offered not to save them from their fate, but to bestow them with the strength needed to liberate themselves.
In a massive uprising, Orcs managed to free their people and struck out to settle their own lands. To this day, they remain a fiercely proud people who excel as warriors. Many remain devoted to their Deity and to the shamans who speak for it. There is prejudice amidst Orcs themselves, with most being green in color, while seeing those born with red skin as destined to be unruly and savage. Those born with blue tones are looked down on as potentially soft and weak, even though there is no specific reason to believe these assumptions. Orcs who do not follow a warrior’s lifestyle are fully capable of being as intelligent and clever as any other race, though the stereotype of meat-headed orcs remains common in foreign nations.
