Omnimal Avians range in appearance from all types of birds, whether fierce raptors, diminutive songbirds, or vibrantly plumed parrots and peacocks. They may have wings on their backs or feathered forearms, either of which allow them to fly. Most people who live near large cities or trading ports where airships dock will be quite familiar with the Avian Federation of Trade, which acts as a neutral trading partner to many kingdoms with its fleet of airships and prestigious captains. The AFT is currently experiencing something of a civil war between the Trading Companies which govern it, and the rebellious Harpies, led by their Harpy Queen, who are independent airship captains that oppose the monopolistic rule of the Federation Executives. Bloody aerial battles are fought between the commercial companies and the sky-pirates, with no one able to tell for certain who will inevitably crumble before the other.
